Submission Guidelines

Eligibility:

The competition is open to all filmmakers from amateurs to professionals.

Participation is open to all Indian nationals.

Submissions must adhere to the specified genre/theme criteria.

Submission guidelines:

Films must be submitted through the official online portal by the designated deadline i.e. 8th May, 2026

Each participant can submit a maximum of 1 entry.

Films should be in DCP, MP4 or MOV format.

Maximum duration of the film should be 30 minutes.

Film should be completed after 1st Jan 2024.

No Entry Fee to submit your films for the challenge.

Eligibility is subject to the film holding valid censor certification or qualifying for exemption. The festival will undertake the exemption process for selected films, where applicable.

Originality: 

Submissions must be original works, and participants should hold the rights to all aspects of their films.

Plagiarism or unauthorized use of copyrighted material is strictly prohibited.

Language:

The film has to be a Marathi-language short film and must include English subtitles.

Judging Criteria:

Entries will be evaluated based on creativity, storytelling, technical execution, and adherence to the genre selected.

The decision of the jury is final and binding.

Publicity: 

Participants grant the competition organizers the right to use excerpts from their films for promotional purposes.

Disqualification:

Submissions that violate any of the competition rules or contain inappropriate content will be disqualified.

Rights:

The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any entry without providing reasons.

Participants retain the rights to their films, but by entering the competition, they grant the organizers the right to screen the films during the festival and for promotional purposes.

Deadline: 

The deadline for submissions is 8th May, 2026. Late entries will not be considered.
